Mbabazi speaks out against government efforts to curtail his freedom of assembly.

Former Prime Minister, John Patrick
Amama Mbabazi, has spoken out
against what he says are attempts to
torpedo his freedom to assemble and
express himself granted by the
Constitution.
He cited an incident on Friday in
which police called off a meeting
supposed to be held at Makerere
University upon ostensibly learning
that Mbabazi was scheduled to speak
to the university muslim community.
Mbabazi made the remarks while
speaking before pilgrims at
Kiwamirembe prayer mountain during
the celebration of the Feast of
Assumption.
