UCC Launches Price Comparison Websites

Uganda Communications Commission has launched 2 websites where prices for retail communications services such as phone talk time, internet, Mobile money, Pay TV among others are availed to customers. UCC, with this aims to ensure protection and welfare of consumers of these services in the country and as well as stimulate market competition through the regulation of communication service rates and services.
Ostosho Media Ltd and Addmaya Motion Pictures Ltd contracted by UCC will develop and maintain Price Comparison Websites for retail communication services for a period of one year. The websites:www.price-check.co.ug and www.kompare.ug will be loaded with all the needed information that will enable consumers to compare prices of different service providers so that they can make informed decisions
