Opposition MPs threaten to boycott constitutional amendments debate

Opposition MPs
threaten to boycott
constitutional
amendments debate.
The MPs said they would boycott the
debate because they feel that the
proposed amendments are not intended
to improve the constitution but only to
further Museveni’s agenda.
A section of opposition MPs say term
limits should be included in the
ongoing constitutional amendments
and have threatened to walk out on
the amendments debate if their wish
is not granted.
One of the MPs, Bushenyi county MP,
Odo Tayebwa, said he would not be
seeking another term in office if
presidential term limits are not
reinstated.
