BoU denies 100, 000 shilling note.

Bank of Uganda says it has not released any 100k note and says the light – green sample note circulating in the social media is a fake that should be disregarded by Ugandans.

George William Sonko, a principal Economist at Bank of Uganda says there’s not even a consideration of releasing such a note and that the 50k note shall remain the leading leading denomination.

He says security has been alerted and is hunting for people behind the fake note and also warns Ugandans not to accept any such denomination.
