Uganda Marks World Female Condom Day.

In an effort to increase awareness and access to the use of female women condoms, civil society organizations advocating for better health especially in women and children have today celebrated the Global Female Condom Day that fall every 16th of September.

Presiding over the celebrations at the PATH Offices at Maliba building located along the Golf Course Road in Kololo, the Assistant Commissioner Health Services at the Ministry of Health Dr. Paul Kagwa has expressed the need for the condoms saying they have come at the right time when Uganda focusing at the prevention of HIV.

He has meanwhile urged CSOs like PATH that are in the service of distributing these condoms to ensure they are accessible to all women.

Some of the women working with PATH to distribute the condoms have illustrated how the condom works.

Dr. Kagwa has lashed at men who force women into sex saying that this has led into increased HIV cases.
