Pepsi Gets new Chief Executive Officer

The Board of Crown Beverages Limited (CBL)  the botllers of Pepsi Mirinda and Mountain dew has appointment Paddy Muramiirah the Chief Executive Officer of Pepsi to succeed Mr. Simon Lugoloobi who has been CEO over the last eight years.

Mr. Muramiirah has been in acting capacity as CEO at CBL since August 2016. Muramiirah joined CBL in 2005 as the Head of Operations with an extensive background in Mechanical engineering.

He comes in with a wealth of experience having worked at different levels of management in a number of organisations including beverage industries. During his 11 years at CBL, he has been behind the growth that CBL has registered in the period and through his leadership, Pepsi has received numerous accolades both regional and international.

His leadership, immense experience and knowledge in this sector, along with his strong track record made him the outstanding candidate for the role. Mr. Muramiirah has demonstrated throughout his career the ability to work successfully, designing and leading strategies which resulted in impressive value creation.”

Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Muramiirah, said, “I am honored at the opportunity to lead CBL in the next exciting phase of its journey. I am thankful to the Board and staff for bestowing such faith in me. I look forward to everyone’s support to fulfill this tremendous responsibility.”

Mr. Lugoloobi, the outgoing CEO, said, “I am proud of the results we as a team achieved during my leadership for 7 years as Finance Manager followed by another 8 years as CEO, I find it is the right time for both me and CBL to make a change. Paddy has all the qualities it takes to take CBL to the next strategic step and I wish him and the whole management team the best of luck.”
