Over hundred members of Mbabazi’s camp cross over to Museveni’s.

Over 100 staff members of presidential
candidate, Amama Mbabazi’s Go Forward
secretariat have crossed over and joined
President Yoweri Museveni’s campaign team.
Led by Ronald Tumwine Ssekitooleko, the head
of field operations and campaign structure, the
group explained their cross over citing that they
were misled.
Tumwine said since the beginning Mbabazi told
them that he was to bring about the desired
change within the NRM by participating in the
party primaries, something he rejected and stood
as an independent candidate.
Tumwine added that they however realized they
were fighting personal wars between Mbabazi
and President Museveni as the former was
serving his own interests, contrary to what he’d
told them and the public at large. They
discovered that the Mbabazi camp was focused
on fronting hate and tribal campaign messages
on top of putting the family first and meddling
into the pressure group’s affairs which he said
was unacceptable
The defectors said they could not continue with
Mbabazi’s camp.
