Muslims Urged to lookout for the Moon Tonight

 

The Director of Sharia Uganda Muslim Supreme Council Sheikh Yahaya Ibrahim Kakungulu has advised Muslims in Uganda to watch for the moon today evening – June 16th 2015 since it is the 29th day of the Islamic Month of Shaban.

“If the moon is sighted today evening, fasting will commence tomorrow Wednesday June 17th 2015.

If the moon is not sighted today evening, fasting will automatically commence on Thursday June 18th 2015” he said.

Sheikh Yahaya Kakungulu appeals to those who sight the moon to contact UMSC Headquarters Old Kampala immediately through the office of the Muslim Director of Sharia Shk. Yahaya Ibrahim Kakungulu
