Makerere University has launched the

process for the search of its next

Chancellor.

Professor Mondo Kagonyera’s term

as Chancellor of Makerere University

expires on 23rd October this year and

he is no longer eligible for extension

as one can only have two four-year

terms.

A 5-member committee selected by

Makerere Council, headed by Bruce

Balaba, has released the guidelines

on which the new chancellor will be

instituted.

Balaba said the candidates will only

be nominated by the public from

which five names will be screened

then later two will be sent to the

President, who will finally confirm

one.
