Independent EC nominates Museveni and Mbabazi.

The Electoral Commission has today fully declared
President Yoweri Museveni and independent
Amama Mbabazi as candidates for the 2016
presidential elections.
In presence of observers from Uganda Human
Rights Commission, diplomatic mission
representatives and the National Consultative
Forum (umbrella for all registered parties in
Uganda) among others, the Electoral Commission
chairperson, Badru Kigundu verified the
politicians’ papers before fully nominating
them.
