Government is in crisis of Caterpillar bulldozers.

Government is in crisis of Caterpillar bulldozers to work on new roads as planned by Government.

The Minister of works and transport Eng.  John Byabagambi was responding to queries by MPs on the National Economy committee chaired by Ibanda North MP Xavier Kyoma, over the delayed works on new Roads in different parts of the country yet funds are availed.

He says that the country lacks enough Bulldozers to cut mountains where roads are supposed to go through and the available Caterpillars can only be used to upgrade roads.

He says that the government has only six Bulldozers with a capacity to run over mountains and because of their few in numbers some roads are not started on as Government wanted.

minister adds that more 20 Caterpillar Bulldozers will be purchased to enable government work on all pending roads.
