Former beauty queen
eyes Eastern Youth MP
seat
27 year old Aisha Nagudi from Mbale,
who was a 2nd runner up in Miss
Uganda beauty contest in both 2010
and 2013, is eyeing the Youth MP seat
for the Eastern region.
27 year old Aisha Nagudi, who holds a Bachelors degree
from Makerere university represented
Makerere University in Nigeria in the
Miss University Africa in 2012, and
contested in Miss Africa in 2012 in
Dar es salaam.
Aisha Nagudi believes her experience
in the modeling world is her strong
ticket for the post she seeks. Nagudi
was Uganda’s tourism ambassador in
Belgium in 2013 and affirms that this
has groomed her to be able to
represent the youth in parliament.
Before Nagudi got into modeling, she
was a qualified secondary school
teacher, a profession she has not
completely abandoned because she
intends to open a nursery school in a
her home area.
Nagudi’s investment plans also
stretch into agriculture as she plans
to make use of the large dormant
land in eastern Uganda to help more
youth start their own jobs and employ
others through farming.
