UNRA Boss inspecting Controversial Mukono- katosi Nyenga road

The newly appointed UNRA Executive Director Allen kagina is inspecting the Construction works for the controversial Mukono – Kyetume – katosi Nyenga road.
The 74 km road last year became a center of controversy over errors in awarding contracts which led to the termination of then then contractor’s agreements and new ones RCC and Arab consulting Engneers have now began construction works at a cost of 253.9 billion shillings.
So far 1.7% against the plan of 7.1% expected road works is on progress. Allen Kagina is making stop overs and questioning the contractors of the road but also to familiarize herself with the project to avoid a repeat of irregularities which this road faced last year.
