UNRA appoints 8 new directors.

Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) board
has approved appointment of 8 directors to key
management positions. In a statement issued by
the authority’s Executive director, Allen Kagina,
the board in exercise of its powers concluded a
series of interviews as they sought capable
candidates. The board has chosen, Mary Kutesa
as director legal and board affairs (she is
currently serving on the UNRA probe), Samuel
Muhoozi as director of roads and bridges
development (formerly with Ministry of works and
later with UNRA as station manager and regional
manager), Isaac Wani as director of road
maintenance (formerly UNRA northern region
manager), Mathias Ofumbi- director of
procurement (formerly UNRA monitoring and
evaluation manager), Moses Kasakya- director of
internal audit ( formerly Integrity manager at
UMEME), Jennifer Kagwa as director human
resources (formerly director of administration
and human resource at KCCA) and Edna
Rugumayo as director of corporate services
(formerly assistant commissioner Finance at
Uganda Revenue Authority).
In September, UNRA sacked 890 staff in the on-
going restructuring process.
