NRM Unveils new Road map.

The ruling party NRM has unveiled its new road map .

The party Electoral commission chairperson , Dr. Tanga Odoi says that the party is  now ready for primaries and standards of free and  fair elections set by EC also apply to the party . He warns that any breach of regulations will  lead to cancelation of a member’s candidature .

Candidates are prohibited from fundraising and bribery . Using public vehicles for campaigns is also  illegal.

The new road map;

-12th Oct 2015: elections for LC3 chairpersons, lord councilors and LC 5 councilors, city division councilors  in Buganda and Kampala. 

-LC 3 chairpersons and councilorsrs for Kalungu and  Bushenyi will take place on date to be agreed  on after meeting on 15th and 16th Oct.

-26th Oct: NRM primaries for constituency MPs,women women MPs, LC5 chairpersons, lord mayor and municipal  mayors.

-30th Oct-2 Nov: the first meeting of the NRM delegates  conference at Namboole Stadium.

– 3rd Nov: Nomination of NRM presidential candidate  will take place at 10am.
