The NRM’s Disciplinary Committee is
finalizing a report on what action to
take against its former parliament
By Secretary
General Amama Mbabazi who is
deemed an errant member.
This follows the submission of a
report by a sub-committee of the,
party’s highest organ, the Central
Executive Committee that had been
tasked to summon Mbabazi over his
presidential ambitions.
The committee had also summoned
Mbabazi’s wife Jacqueline Mbabazi,
former minister Hope Mwesigye and
former Vice President, Professor
Gilbert Bukenya, who all declined to
honour the summons. Mbabazi,
however, met the 4 member sub-
committee.
Also, NRM’s deputy secretary
general Richard Todwong has said that the readmission of the so-
called “rebel MPs” awaits a decision
by the Central Executive Committee.
