Museveni arrives in New York for the 70th United Nations General Assembly .

President Museveni is recieved by the US officials.

President Yoweri Museveni has arrived in New York for the 70th United Nations General Assembly that will see Uganda hand over the Presidency of the United Nations to Denmark .

The 70th President of the General Assembly is now Mr. Moggens Lykettoft.

The President , who is accompanied by the first lady and Minister for Karamoja Affairs Hon. Janet Museveni , was recieved by the officials of the US government , the out going UN President Hon. Sam Kahamba Kutesa and Uganda’s permanent representative to the United Nations Dr. Richard Nduhuura at the JF Kennedy International Airport.

President Museveni will co. chair the opening plenary meeting of the summit for the adotion of the post of 2015 Development Agenda with the Prime Minister of Denmark H.E Lars Lokke Rasmussen shortly after His Holiness Pope Francis’s address to the General assembly tomorrow Friday 25th , 2015.
