Government rejects shs 28 bn KCCA request.

Government has declined to grant a
request by Kampala Capital City
Authority for 28 billion shillings to
prepare for Pope Francis’ visit in
November this year.
KCCA Executive Director Jennifer
Musisi told a media conference at
KCCA offices in City Hall that the
funds would be used to repair roads,
set up street lights and general
beautification to spruce up the city
ahead of the Pope’s visit.
But the Ministry of Finance said it did
not have the money.
