FDC Besigye promises to build food stores in Teso sub region .

Col. Dr. Kiiza Besigye , the FDC party presidential candidate has promised to build food stores in Teso sub region , once he is elected into office . According to Besigye , the food stores will help government to monitor  and ensure that farmers fetch good prices  for their produce .

While addressing  his campaign rally in Serere District , Besigye noted that during the bumper harvest , farmers sell off their produce at giveaway prices due to lack of proper storage facilities, which has left them in abject poverty .

Besigye also promised  to increase teacher’s salaries and reduce the number of members of parliament and ministries and reallocating resources to other sectors of the economy .
