Court acquits Lwakataka.

High Court in Masaka has dropped all charges
against rally ace Ponsiano Lwakataka in relation
to the murder of 9 people in Rakai.
Lwakataka was acquitted after state failed to

murders.
Lwakataka, together with Vincent Fagensi alias
Kanyama and Emmanuel Zzinda were accused of
killing nine people in Kyebe sub-county in Rakai
district in January, 2013.
It is alleged that unknown assailants dug a hole
into a house, attacked and killed Pastor Steven
Mugambe, his wife Noeline Nalinnya, his mother
Maria Namatovu and six other family members
including Berna Nakivumbi, Jane Nakiwala,
Christine Nasimbwa, Dan Ssemwanga, Maria
Nakajugo and Andrew Mpeirwe.
