Youths launch their Manifesto for 2016 polls

The demands in the manifesto will be
used as the basis upon which the
youths should decide who their most
suitable presidential aspirant will be.
The National Youth Manifesto has
been launched with a demand for
jobs, healthcare for all, education,
sports and creative arts, and the
youths’ participation in decision-
making.

The manifesto for 2016-2021 is a
brainchild of the Youth Coalition on
Electoral Democracy in Uganda.
Kenneth Nkumiro, the coordinator of
the Uganda Parliamentary Youth
Forum, which spearheaded the
manifesto formulation, told us that
it is the ideal way of shaping the
2016 general polls since the youth
constitute the majority of the
electorate.
