Workers representatives warn minister

Workers representatives in parliament warn the new minister for finance, Matia Kasaija to abandon the plan to reduce the number of workers representatives on the NSSF board or else they will call the workers to take action. Addressing a press conference at parliament, mps Arinaitwe Rwakajara , Sam Lyomoki and Teopista Nabulya Sentongo said that the plan to reduce the workers representatives on the NSSF board from five to three is just move to mismanage workers saving. The minister for finance wrote a letter to the workers unions COFTU and
NOTU instructing them to nominate names in which he will choose three representatives instead of five, but these mps have asked Kasaija to come out and give reason for reducing the number.
