UPC in a comeback move – says Ochieno

UPC stalwart Joseph Ochieno has vowed to turn UPC into a political party that can seize power through free and fair elections. Ochieno who once served as UPC UK bureau chief made the remarks shortly after picking nomination forms for Party president making him the second person to express interest in replacing Olara Otunu after former first son Jimmy Akena. The party has organized a delegate’s conference to be held on June 12th where the new leader will be elected. Ochieno says he want to make UPC a party that can bring development to the country, revitalize the education and health systems among others. He has also promised to unify the party that was recently dogged by disagreements among its members.
