Two officials of Amuria Disrict Local Government Sentenced to 3 and half years in Jail.

The Anti corruption court has Sentenced two officials of Amuria Disrict Local Government, to 3 and half years in Jail, for Abuse of office and causing the district a loss 66 million shillings meant for equipping of Health Centers II and purchasing District stationery.

Justice Magret Tibulya convicted Atai Hellen Doreen the Chief Finance officer and Dr. Eumu Silver, the District health officer,, and also ordered them to refund the money to Amuria District Local Government Health Department that lost the money.

Justice Tibulya agreed with chief magistrate Sarah Lwanga who first tried to them in June this year, that a very act of corruption and related offences, there is a price to pay once convicted.
