Two arrested in connection with the shooting of Muslim cleric in Mbale

Two people have been arrested in connection with the murder of a Muslim cleric in Mbale. Sheik Rashid Wafula who had established three Islamic schools in Mbale was gunned down at kireka,Nakaloke Mbale as he left the mosque. Those arrested include Muhamed Modo, the LC 1 Chairman kireka zone and Sheik Wabomba. The cousin brother to the late, only identified as Suuman is also wanted by Police for questioning but has disappeared. The latest murder in Mbale brings to five the number of Muslim clerics killed in less than a year where close to 10 suspects are being held by Police in connection with shootings in Bugiri, Kampala and Mayuge.
