Premier Rugunda warns opposition over plotting violence.

Prime Minister Dr Ruhakana Rugunda has
sounded a warning to some opposition elements
who he said are plotting violence immediately after the 2016 general elections.

Although the ongoing presidential election campaigns have largely remained peaceful, the Prime Minister expressed dismay over political actors including
some candidates who he said were diverting
from this good trend.  The Premier was on
Tuesday addressing press on the on electoral
campaign progress at the Uganda Media Center in Kampala. He noted with that as part of the
opposition’s ‘dangerous plan,’ there is also
persistent talk of “defiance” mainly at campaign
rallies by some candidates. Government
according to the Prime Minister has established
that some of these groups, under the guise of
training agents to protect their votes, are raising
semi-militia groups.
