Pope Francis urges Kenyans to work for peace.

Pope Francis has urged Kenyans to work for
peace and reconciliation as militant violence
rises across the world. Speaking to top
government officials and other dignitaries at a
meeting held at state house in Nairobi, Pope
Francis said many societies are experiencing
divisions based on a wide range of issues
including religion, politics and the economy. He
however says people with good will should come
out and push for reconciliation, tolerance and
forgiveness. He also challenged Kenyan leaders
to prioritize conservation of the natural
resources.
He arrived in Kenya on Wednesday, at the start
of a three-nation, first African tour.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and ululating crowds
welcomed him at the airport in the capital,
Nairobi.
His trip to Kenya is the first on whirlwind tour of
three countries including Uganda and the Central
Africa Republic.
