Police withdraws from Besigye’s home.

Police officers have withdrawn from the home of
FDC flag bearer, Dr. Kizza Besigye in Kasangati.
The police sieged the opposition politician’s
home from Wednesday night running through
yesterday and this morning under the pretext of
taking preventive measures. RPC, Wesley Nganizi
said police action stemmed from information that
Besigye was planning to cause havoc in the city.
Besigye was yesterday arrested as he attempted
to escape police. Police also raided the FDC
offices in Kirekka which the politician was
expected to open.
Meanwhile, FDC had planned an Eastern tour
starting today 16th Oct but police insists they
are not cleared to traverse the country holding
public meetings.
