Pm Rugunda denies being mediator between Museveni and Mbabazi

Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda has denied media reports that he is the mediator of reconciliatory talks between President Yoweri Museveni and former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi.

There have been reports that Amama Mbabazi has been tipped for the post of Vice President if he reconciles with Museveni. The Vice President offer to Amama Mbabazi is reportedly in exchange for dropping his presidential bid during the 2016 elections. Mbabazi has however not officially declared he would contest against President Museveni in the coming elections.

Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda in an interview with a local online media outlet said he was not aware of the mediation.
