Odoi on postponement of NRM primaries.

NRM Electoral Commission chairperson, Dr.Tanga  Odoi has said the postponement of theparty primaries was necessary because they would  not deliver credible elections if polling material  arrived late. He also says those that had  planned to rig have been rigged out.

Late last night the ruling party released a statement  announcing the postponement of the primaries  from today Monday 26th October 2015 to  tomorrow Tuesday 27th October, 2015.

NRM deputy secretary general, Richard Todwong confirmed  this morning that the decision was made  because the party was unable to transport materials  in time.

The Party primary elections for the Members of Parliament  and Local Council Five chairpersons will commence tomorrow.

Two thousand sevenhundred aspirants are expected to tussle it out in the  parliamentary primaries with each hoping to be  elected one of NRM’s 375 flag bearers for parliamentary  seats in the 2016 election.
