NRM Extends Elections for LC1

The Ruling party NRM has extended the Programme for its internal primary election of LCI Flag bearers and special interest groups like PWD’s which were supposed to have started today.

The extension has been made due to unavoidable circumstances like shortage of funds and rain according to Dr Tang Odoi the NRM electoral commission chairperson.

Odii has explained that the same election shall now take place on Monday 7th September in Karamoja, Northern, Easter and Western Uganda and later on Wednesday 9th the same shall be held in central region and Kampala.

According to the NRM Deputy spokesperson Ofwono Opondo, all is set for the NRM primaries and emphasized that the Primaries shall be by secret ballot though voters shall have to write names of preferred candidate.
