NRM caucus to consider accepting rebel MPs back

The vice-chairperson of the NRM Caucus, Peter Ogwang, plans to table a motion urging for a reconciliation with the so-called ‘rebel’ MPs  who were kicked out of the party.

The MPs, Theodore Ssekikubo, Wilfred Niwagaba, Barnabas Tinkasiimire and Mohammed Nsereko, were expelled by the party in 2013 for going against some party positions.

Peter Ogwang’s statement comes at a time when the NRM’s Secretary General Justine Lumumba has stressed that the four will not be able to participate in the party’s ongoing registration exercise.
