Nema step up enforcement of polythene bag ban.

The enforcement of the kavera ban has now  been extended to some parts of the  country, especially at border entry points  in Eastern and Western Uganda.

It is five months since the ban on polythene bags commonly called kamera  started mainly in big supermarkets  in Kampala.

Officials of Nema say enforcement will  continue after cabinet recently agreed  to maintain the ban that started 


 early this year.
