Mao has no chance of being registered – EC.

The Electoral Commission maintains that the
Democratic Party president, Norbert Mao has no
chance of being registered in the national voters
register.
Mao yesterday gave the commission an
ultimatum of dealing with his issue in 48 hours or
he takes them to court.
However, EC head of field operations Richard
Kamugisha notes that Mao’s request to register
came long after 11th May 2014 deadline.
He says Mao is free to seek redress in the
courts of law although he upholds that the
commission cannot register anyone now.
Mao was last week blocked from parliamentary
nomination by the Electoral Commission because
he did not register for the ID and therefore, his
name was missing on the voters’ register.
