Makerere University students continue strike.

Makerere University students have this morning continued continued with the strike protesting against the institutions  100% tuition policy that requires all students  to clear all their tuition fees within the first  6 weeks of the semester.

Anti-riot police is battling students mainly from Lumumba  hall who are throwing stones at them.

The campus is marred by Fires set by the students , bullets and teargas fired by police.

All faculties  are under siege and the police are in control . Students are trapped in their halls of residence .

Yesterday, the university council in a meeting maintained  its status quo that all tuition fees be paid  by 30th October.

The students started striking on Monday this

week.
