Kampala traders protest against NEMA enforcement of kaveera ban

An exercise by the National Environment Management Authority officials to impound banned polythene bags in downtown Kampala was abandoned prematurely after traders protested the move.

Traders in Kikuubo market accuse the authority of overstepping its mandate and confiscating polythene bags above 30 microns.
