Justice Ogoola is set for retirement.

Jusitce James Ogoola Justice James Ogoola is set for retirement upon the expiry of his contact as Chairman of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC)  on February 2, this year .

The Judicial Service Commission is the government body mandated to recriut and discipline Judicial Officers .

The Uganda Constitution stipulates a four – year term contract which is subject to a one time renewal . However,  Ogoola , who was first sworn in as the Chairman of the commission in February 2012 is not eligible for a reappointment  after clocking the mandatory retirement age of 70.

The retirement is comfirmed by a highly placed source at the Commission who preferred anonymity.
