Immature Fish Impounded- Traders in loss.

Police in Iganga and officials from the Ministry of Fisheries fighting bad fishing have impounded fish estimated to be worth 20m shillings.

The head of illegal fishing unit in the Ministry of Fisheries Amlan Tumusime says that the Fuso lorry had four tones and was coming from Busia district.

The impounded immature fish comprise Nile Perch and Tilapia measuring about 5,6 and 7 inches.

Our reporter Willy Basoga Kadaama has told us that fisheries authorities say the fish is about 8 tons.
