Officials from the Inspectorate of Government (IGG) conduct investigations at the Uganda Land Commission in Kampala on January 30, 2025. The offices under scrutiny include the Lands Registry, the Senior Accountant, and the Secretary of the Uganda Land Commission. The probe was initiated following numerous complaints from individuals who sold their land to the government through the Commission. Insiders and whistleblowers have reported instances where payments were made for non-existent ‘ghost land’.
