Health ministry begins house-to-house anti-malaria spraying in Bugiri

In a bid to reduce the high rates of malaria in Bugiri district, the ministry of health has started house-to-house indoor residual spraying against mosquitoes.

However, some residents have not welcomed the spraying exercise and have either chased away health officials or left their homes locked in an attempt to prevent them from being sprayed.

The spraying project is being carried out with the support of the World Health Organization and UK Aid.
