Government allows limited horticultural exports to European Union.

A limited number of exporters of
horticultural produce have now been
cleared to resume exporting to the
European Union.
Slightly more than half of the most
active exporters of horticultural
products like vegetables and fruits
have been allowed to resume exports
to the European Union, which had
been banned since the self imposed
ban was effected by the government.
Early this year the trade ministry had
effected a ban on Ugandan vegetable
and fruit exports following quality
related complaints from the EU.
