Former Parliament Director of Budget charged with embezzling over UShs 822M.

The Anti corruption court has

convicted former parliament Director

of Budget Office, Samuel Wanyaka on

charges of Embezzlement of over

822million shillings, false accounting

and abuse of office. In his ruling,

Justice Paul Mugambe said he was

convinced that Wanyaka misused his

office and and could not account for

the money which was meant for

government duties. Wanyaka has

been appearing before the Anti

corruption court since last year.

However, court has been adjourned

up to 29th July for sentencing while

Wamyaka was remanded to Luzira

prison.
