Former Director Parliamentary budget officer Mr. Samuel Wanyaka sentenced to 17 yrs.

images_24The Anti corruption court in Kololo has Sentenced to 17 yrs the former director Parliamentary budget officer Mr Samuel Wanyaka for Embezzlemeng over shs 822 millions that was meant to carry out service delivery.
According to the IGG’s office, Wanyaka between August 13th and 9th, 2013, stole more than 822m, meant for conducting service delivery surveys in Uganda. In his sentence, Justice Paul Mugambe disregarded the claims of ill-health. The judge sentence Wanyaka to 10 yrs for Embezzlemeng, 2yrs for abuse of office and 5yrs for false accounting on top of refunding the 822M that he mis appropriated.
