First lady launches

campaign to eradicate

mother to child HIV

infections.

Uganda has an ambitious target of

eliminating the transmission of HIV

from mothers to their children by the

end 2015.

The First Lady Janet Museveni

stressed the country’s commitment

to achieve that lofty goal during the

launch of the programme in Soroti

district this afternoon.

The programme is meant to cover the

entire Teso sub-region.
