DP to elect Lord Mayor’s flag bearer .

The Democratic Party has called a special delegates conference tomorrow  in Kampala to choose the Party’s flag bearer for the post of Lord Mayor .

According to Chairperson of DP  Electoral Commission  Vincent Mayanja , says that they have been instructed by the party leadership to organise the delegate’s conference to choose the party’s representatives for the Lord Mayorship.

DP Secretary General Mathias Nsubuga says that DP cannot fail to have a candidate in this race .

Recently, the embattled Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago complained that the electoral commission had approved Kyaddondo South MP Isa Kikungwe as  flag bearer for the Lord Mayoral Seat and challenged the party to organise a delegates conference to get a candidate .

Some sources have told us that Lukwago has refused to attend this delegate’s conference .
