Five babies have died after their mother from Namayingo delivered them from a  hospital in Busia district.

Scovia Taabu from Buswale in Namayingo district was referred to Dabani hospital in Busia for a safe delivery of her babies. The babies were 2 months premature and the health facility could not handle her condition due to lack of incubators.

Prematures or preterm babies contribute immensely to the annual deaths of 34600 babies below 4 weeks of age in Uganda.
