Bukedea residents protest road construction company taking their land

Locals in Bukedea district have protested against the Chinese Civil Engineering company, which is constructing the Namusi Sironko road, whom they accuse of taking their land.

The 200 residents who took part in protest claim that they will not be compensated for the 120 acres that one of them leased to the company without their knowledge and permission.

The protest forced the road construction crew off the site.
