Buganda to renovate and redevelop Kabaka’s lake

Buganda Lukiiko has resolved to renovate and redevelop the Kabaka’s lake in Ndeba and vowed to task KCCA to explain who gave it to the authority to contaminate the water in the Kabaka’s lake with sewerage.
This was fronted as a proposal by the Katikkiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga and his cabinet while addressing the great Lukiiko at Bulange Mengo.
He says that much has been thought about by various stake holders of the kingdom including a Hospital, Schools, arcades among others but decided to prioritize the Kabaka’s lake because when the Kabaka of Buganda appointed a committee to make surveys on this lake it released a report which highlights that in the next 20 years, the lake is likely to perish.
