Buganda premier Peter Mayiga tells Off Detractors

The Katikiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga says he will not be derailed by diversionary elements in his ongoing effort to spur development in the kingdom.

Mayiga says restoration of the kingdom wealth is a long-term goal that he intends to pursue with all his energy.

The Katikiro has been speaking at Kalisizo town council in Rakai where his etofaali mobilization tour didn’t receive the blessing of the Kamuswaga of Kooki who faulted Mayiga is disrespecting his administration.

Mayiga says he will keep going back to Kooki because of the overwhelming contributions he has so far received in the area, signaling serious commitment of the people to Buganda.

The Katikiro was later meant to go to Rakai district headquarters where the Kamuswaga was reported to be mobilizing his loyalists not to give the Katikiro a deserving welcome.
