Bakaleke is not arrested – Kayima

Police has dismissed reports on Social Media that the Kampala South Regional Police Commander Siraji Bakaleke has been arrested by security agencies CMI and ISO.

The allegations spreading like wild fire on social media claim that Bakaleke had been arrested for allegedly robbing a Korean investor on gun point.

Speaking to Radio Simba in a phone interview, Police spokesperson Emirian Kayima says that Bakaleke is not among the Police officers that were arrested yesterday.

He however didn’t give details on the arrested officers and why they were arrested.

When we contacted him, Bakaleke told us that he was preparing himself for work and that these allegations are meant to dent his name. He adds that he is ready to be arrested for whoever is interested.
